Competitive Software Development using Lean

In this session we will discuss Lean Software Management and provide strategies that you can use to become more competitive as a software company or high-tech company producing software. You will learn how to reduce software development schedules by as much 70% while also reducing costs and improving quality. Our discussion is aimed at VP-level management.

You will learn about:

  • Determining your competitive strengths and weaknesses
  • Identifying and quantifying product development bottlenecks
  • Synchronizing Customers, Sales, Support, Marketing, Engineering, and QA
  • Reducing time & money expended on bug fixing (typically 50% of capacity)
  • How to avoid product features that add little or no customer value
  • Adapting Lean concepts like “flow”, “batch size” and “just-in-time” to software
  • Using a cross-functional team to quickly implement improvements
