Information Architecture in Lean Product Development

One of the crucial ways in which product development differs from manufacturing is in the complexity of the information moving through the value stream. Paying attention to process architecture is necessary, but not sufficient to achieve breakthroughs in product development performance. By mapping and improving the information architecture in a program – or an entire product development system – we can ensure that everyone has the right information when they need it.
