March 7, 2007 | SDSIC Software Supply Chains: Improving Performance As a result of trends like globalization and outsourcing, more and more of the software being developed today involves multiple companies and subsidiaries. These organizations must collaborate to produce a useful end-product, often across cultural and geographical barriers. Just like in any other industry, there is a supply chain here that must be carefully managed and improved over time. We will discuss how Lean principles and practices can help us analyze and dramatically improve the performance of software supply chains. This session is aimed at executives in mid-sized and larger organizations that outsource software development or practice co-development with partners or other divisions.
